Our Story

Journey held its first Sunday morning service at the AIMS Education Center on May 21, 2000. We met for the first time at Northridge High School on June 18, 2000 and steadily grew until they purchased the Cooper Movie Theater in 2005.
In the fall of 2007, Russ York—Journey’s founding pastor—resigned and Arron Chambers started as the new Lead Pastor at Journey in 2008.
As the church continued to reach more and more people Journey was approached by the leadership of the Hope Center Foursquare Church about the possibility of swapping buildings. Journey moved into our current facility in June of that year and merged with Crossroads Christian Church. 

Journey is a growing body of people in Greeley who are committed to journeying in Christ, with the church, and for the community. We enjoy partnering with local schools like Ann K. Heimen Elementary and Prairie Heights Middle School with school supplies, meals and building maintenance needs.  Our food bank feeds thousands each year, and our missions teams provide teaching, building, and community event opportunities globally and locally throughout the year.  

We are committed to following the Holy Spirit's lead on how to serve our local  community and the world in the most loving and effective way possible.  This includes caring for each other well at Journey,  meaningful care for our local community through service and giving,  connecting in prisons through providing services, and taking the Gospel to those across the world.
